Ovations 2014 Concert Series

Top-notch performers from throughout the United States and Europe are presented during the winter months at the 350-seat Bret Harte Theater in Angels Camp.

This year we presented four groups from California and one group from Germany.  This was an exciting season for music and dance. Musical performances include opera, cowboy, latin, indie rock, and classical programs.

Performance details and dates:

Michela Macfarlane & Cantamos

Our first show of the season was fabulous.  We knew Michela was good but rather than good she was great.  Cantamos was super and accompanied Michela as she sang arias, French favorites, American rock and more. The audience also discovered that guitarist Fred Treece sounds a lot like Neil Young!

Mandelring Quartet

Bravo to Mandelring Quartet.  Their performance wowed the over 200 members of the audience and they have left an impressive musical footprint on the foothills.  Their approach to the music was both emotional and personal.

Dave Stamey

Cowboy Entertainer

Dave performed to a sell out crowd in the Bret Harte High School Theater.  It is no wonder that Cowboys and Indians Magazine has called him “the Charley Russell of Western Music.” Dave Stamey has been a cowboy, a mule packer, a dude wrangler, and is now one of the most popular Western entertainers working today.   He is also one of Calaveras County's favorite cowboy singer/entertainer.
